Child Advocacy Services (CAS) Blue Run

The second annual CAS Blue Run will be held on Saturday March 31st at Cate Street Park in Hammond to kick off Child Abuse Prevention Month. The run will feature a 1 mile fun run beginning at 8:00 a.m. and a 5K Race starting at 8:30 a.m. Registration and race packet/t-shirt pick up will begin at 7:00 a.m.

Scoring categories for the male and female divisions in the 5K Race are as follows: 10 and under, 11 – 17, 18 – 30, and 31 and up. This race also offers a Team Competition. Groups of 5 may register as a team. Team awards will include Fastest Team, Slowest Team, and Best In Blue Team. Registration fee is $15 before March 16th and $20 after deadline. Race day registration is available however; there is no guarantee for a t-shirt. An awards ceremony will be held immediately following the 5K race. Prizes will be given to winning teams in each category, overall male and female winners in each age division, and to the “Best in Blue” costume.
