Sick Kids need Involve People

SKIP camp of Louisiana is a non-profit summer camp for technology dependent (ventilator, trach, or tube-fed dependent) children and their families. This annual camp takes place over the long Labor Day Weekend and offers fun-filled interaction with families in similar situations. Various volunteers, from both the medical and non-medical fields give the families insight into new technologies while also allowing parents time off from the 24/7 needs of these special children. In addition, through open interaction times and planned activities like a talent show and fair, this weekend gives the children and their siblings a chance to meet other kids just like them!

SKIP camp cannot take place without the generous donations of communities throughout our great state; however, hard economic times have reduced sponsorship. So, to help make sure this camp continues for these children and their families, we are holding the SKIP of Louisiana Golf Tournament, August 9th at 1pm at Oak Knoll Country Club in Hammond. As a camp volunteer, I have experienced firsthand the difference this weekend makes in such special lives. This golf tournament gives me the opportunity to share this experience with you, while helping raise funds. To do this, SKIP needs the help of generous individuals and companies like you; please help us by providing funds in the form of participation, sponsorship and/or donation.

SKIP of Louisiana is exempt from Federal Income Tax under section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions to our organization are deductible in the manner and to the extent provided by section 170 of the Code. Tax Exempt number 72-1091543
