Register for the 2nd Annual Leaders of TommorrowNovember 6th, 2009, 12:00PM to 1:30PM Where: Louisiana State Police Training Center, Cafeteria, Get Directions Visit Event Website Event Categories First Lady of Louisiana, Mrs. Supriya Jindal hosts the 2nd annual Leaders of Tomorrow “Making a World of Difference” Who: First Lady of Louisiana, Mrs. Supriya Jindal, will honor our Leaders of Tomorrow (youth under the age of 21) with or without intellectual disabilities, who are "making a world of difference," in Louisiana. What: Leaders of Tomorrow celebration, inspiring youth across the state, benefiting Special Olympics Louisiana athletes. Where: Louisiana State Police Training Center, Cafeteria, 7901 Independence Boulevard, Baton Rouge, LA 70806 When: November 6, 2009 – Noon-1:30 p.m. Why: The Louisiana Leaders of Tomorrow Celebration is designed to honor outstanding youth (under the age of 21), as individuals, or groups who are making a difference in Louisiana through good citizenship, entrepreneurship, leadership and excellence. These winners will be recognized at the recognition banquet. Special Olympics will conduct the event with input from the First Lady of Louisiana. This awards banquet will benefit Special Olympics Louisiana Athletes. All proceeds will go to providing quality sports training and competition events to more than 12,000 athletes in Louisiana who participate in this program. Log on to www.laso.org under “what’s new” Nominee Categories: First Lady’s Gold Medal; Entrepreneur of the Year; Individual Philanthropist of the Year; Group Philanthropist of the Year; Youth Male of the Year; Youth Female of the Year; The Triumph Award; Youth Individual Inventor of the Year; Organization of the Year; Louisiana Cultural Ambassador of the Year Process: Persons will be able to make nominations based on the nominee categories listed above at our official website www.laso.org. Directly following the nomination deadline, a selected committee will determine the award winners. All award winners will then be notified with further details regarding the Leaders of Tomorrow Event.
