PT’s Dream Team and Phil’s Grill present BURGERPALOOZA 2010!
Pierre Thomas creates the “Flying Frenchman” to benefit C.H.I.L. (City of Hammond Inclusive League)

Hammond, May 1, 2010: Super Bowl Champion, #23 Pierre Thomas and Phil’s Grill present the 3 rd Annual Burgerpalooza. Burgerpalooza is a celebration of National Burger Month in May. Local celebrities create their own signature burger which is sold at Phil’s Grill. Customers who order the celebrity burger get a great burger, a Burgerpalooza t-shirt printed courtesy of Faux Pas Prints and Phil’s Grill donates the proceeds to C.H.I.L., the City of Hammond Inclusive League. The celebrity burger lineup includes Host Pierre Thomas, Mayor Foster, Lori Davis Jones (SELU Ladies Basketball Coach), Mike Lucas (SELU Football Coach) and DJ “Sugarlips” Chris Powers.

Pierre Thomas’ Foundation, PT’s Dream Team, was created to encourage the youth of today to get up from the sofa, get out of the house, and get active - everyday! Through PT's Dream Team, Pierre will work to inspire children to increase their level of physical activity, making them feel more confident, happier and healthier. Pierre Thomas exclaimed, “I am excited to be a part of Phil’s Grill’s Burgerpalooza raising money together for my foundation, PT’s Dream Team, to benefit the Hammond area!”
 
“Burgerpalooza serves as a platform for us to raise not only awareness, but much needed funds for worthwhile organizations,” explained Phil de Gruy, owner and operator of Phil’s Grill. Phil said, “I’m honored to partner with Super Bowl Champion Pierre Thomas and other local celebrities to raise money for C.H.I.L.”

City of Hammond Inclusive League (C.H.I.L.) is Hammond's new instructional league for children with and without disabilities that focuses on development of recreational and sport skills. This is a non-competitive league open to children ages 6-13. C.H.I.L. is an opportunity for each child to be an active part of the game where no points are taken. C.H.I.L. activities focus on skill development,
teamwork, friendships and cooperation.

Phil’s Grill is a Louisiana owned and operated burger joint. Burgerpalooza is an extension of PHILANTHROPY, Phil’s Grill’s charitable organization that supports local charities, schools, community groups and events.
